What about redundant power supplies and RAID?
Both are available. If you have specific redundancy requirement, please be sure to specify at purchase.

No. Media Server is a standard Windows server. It does not use Dialogic boards or host IVR ports.
Can Agent Chat, Agent eMail, and ACD Reports all run on the same media server?
Yes, in most instances. For high volume environments, there is the potential for performance gain for implementing multiple servers for these applications.
How many applications can Media Server support?
Media server is design to run ACD Reports, Agent Chat, and Agent eMail only. Typically only a single server is needed for modest traffic up to 6,000 calls per day. Depending on the number of agents, web chat traffic, and email, it can be advantageous to add servers for performance. If you have a large call center, be sure to consult your TFB representative for recommendations.
If it is just an off the shelf server, can users provide their own Media Server?
Yes! TFB encourages our customers to buy a server that matches our specs and accommodates their IT policies. Your dealer or TFB representative can help you select a server from another vendor.
Does Media Server Run any other Applications?
Not typically. For instances where CTI Server applications are purchased but no IVR ports required, it is possible to host those applications on Media Server. To preserve performance, Media Server should be used only for ACD Reports, Agent Chat, and Agent eMail in most environments.
