TFB Migrates Haband to SIP

April 29th, 2011 – Manhattan Beach, CA
Technology for Business Corporation (TFB Corp.) today announced the successful relocation and SIP migration of the CTI/IVR system for Haband, a long time TFB end-user. Relocation included conversion of 192 IVR ports interface from T1 to SIP, data integration to a new remotely managed database, and telephony integration from the new location on the West Coast to an Avaya switch in East Asia. The TFB system provides a myriad of automated customer service functions, such as order status and routing, as well as reporting and logging of call activity for Haband. The process included an upgrade of CTI Server, and a seamless migration of the port interface protocol from T1 to SIP.

Schedule constraints from the business side meant the timeline was highly compressed. The customer expressed skepticism about TFB’s ability to complete the project in the desired timeframe, but the end result was a successful, on-time cutover. “In every way, this project was a close, cooperative partnership between Haband’s parent company, Orchard Brands, and TFB, “ says David Bean, COO of TFB. He adds, “It was that partnership that was ultimately the key to what turned out to be a successful migration on a short timeline.”
